Dear  CIO & ERT Forums participants,

Welcome to Mexico! We, at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, are excited to host the 2011 edition of the Chief Information Officers Forum and the Education and Research Technology Forum. This year, we are expecting participants from very different regions of the world to gather in our beautiful city, and benefit from all the knowledge and experiences that will be shared in both events.

For the CIO forum, we expect to receive not only those responsible of the IT function in all APRU member universities, but also some key people of their senior staff. As customary, we will get together to discuss subjects of common interest in the management of IT for universities, and we will build bridges of collaboration among our institutions in that regard.
The ERT forum will be open to all academics, IT staff, practitioners, and other people interested in the application of IT for education and research. APRU membership will not be required. We will be encouraging submission of two types of work: presentation proposals described in abstracts, and more formal papers for those who would like to get their research and conceptual work presented and published as such.

Of course, both events will include top quality speakers, and it all will be framed by a fantastic venue.

We hope to greet you in Mexico in October, and be your guests for these wonderful events. Make sure to take some time to see the gorgeous sites that Mexico has to offer!
Sincerely,

Felipe Bracho
CIO at the National Autonomous University of Mexico
